Another dry day – beginning with all those flies at Hells Gate – and then a long stretch to Borroloola – crossing the Queensland Northern Territory in the Gulf area
Breakfast at Hells Gate before another day of red dusty roads with several water course crossings.
The long dusty road to Borroloola begins – interrupted by several water crossings. When we stopped for a lunch, it was a rare day where we couldn’t find any shade – although we decided not to put up the pull out awning on the Prado. We reckoned the ground was probably too hard to push in its pegs.
Fairly quiet in Borroloola – apparently there was a rodeo on in town and just about everyone had gone there. We went for a drive and the road was rough and dusty – the Prado bottomed out a few times and really jarred my back – OUCH!!
